The Miner’s Convalescent Home – Blackpool

This project involved the conversion and challenging refurbishment of a listed, early 20th Century building formerly known as the Miners’ Convalescent Home, and the construction of two new 6/7- storey apartment buildings

Booth King provided civil and structural engineering services for the conversion and new-build work along with the design of site-wide below-ground drainage (requiring attenuation), roads and car-park.

Booth King also designed the foundations to 41 houses at the rear of the site under a separate appointment directly with developer Persimmon Homes.
