Booth King joins Women in Property

As part of our ongoing commitment to encourage women into the construction industry – and more specifically in engineering – we were delighted to recently become members of The Association of Women in Property.

Women still only represent just 15% of the property and construction industry workforce.  The Association of Women in Property aims to address this by enhancing the profile of women in the sector, both by providing a dynamic forum for women in these professions and by encouraging and nurturing aspiring talent.

Booth King’s business development manager – Gill Hardman went along to the new members lunch in Manchester, which was held at new restaurant – 1847.

Gill explains: 15% of the workforce at Booth King or female, and the company is committed to encourage others to think about structural engineering as a career path. We have a number of female engineers and it would be great to see more.

“We’ve heard great things about what the association does to encourage females working in the industry and we’re excited to be working with them.”
