Your company in brief?
Booth King is a structural and civil engineer established in 1969 in the Lancashire village of Ramsbottom. We have achieved our greatest growth over the past 12 months, with both employee and turnover numbers increasing by 30%, and the exciting opening of a new office in Edinburgh at Warrender Park Road.

We’re opening an office in Edinburgh to service the increased volume of enquiries we are receiving from Scotland. We believe in close partnerships with our clients and a local presence emphasises our commitment to Edinburgh and the Scottish market.

What do you do?
As structural and civil engineers, we design structures which exceed project requirements in terms of operation, sustainability, buildabilty and cost – whilst being recognised for their strong design quality.

We provide services to clients for projects of all sizes, values and construction procurement routes. And we work closely with architects, building services engineers, developers and contractors to achieve sustainable, cost effective and exciting new buildings and refurbishments.

Why are you opening an office in Edinburgh? What projects have you worked on here?
We’re opening an office in Edinburgh to service the increased volume of enquiries we are receiving from Scotland. We believe in close partnerships with our clients and a local presence emphasises our commitment to Edinburgh and the Scottish market.

Our experience in the region is varied. We’ve worked on a number of projects including small house extensions, large private houses developments and hotel builds. We are certified under the Structural Engineers Registration (SER) scheme in Scotland, which certifies the structural design of buildings in line with the Building (Scotland) Act 2003.

What is your vision for Edinburgh/Scotland?
Booth King is a structural and civil engineer established in 1969
We want to build a great presence in Scotland, expanding into other sectors and working with new and existing clients throughout the region.

There are some fantastic building opportunities within the city of Edinburgh and beyond, and we want to ensure that we’re a part of it, bringing our experience from our UK and international work with us.Gorton Eaona
