Booth King , has commissioned its team of engineers to draw Booth King projects from 2015 to send as Christmas cards to clients and contacts.
Managing director Mark Moppett explains:
“We have a very talented team which includes a number of amateur artists. We wanted to showcase the incredible list of projects that Booth King has worked on over the course of 2015 and what better way than asking our staff to draw their interpretation of them.”
The following projects chosen were:
Liverpool Exhibition centre – a major project adjoining the existing Liverpool Arena providing full exhibition and music venue facilities. The artist is Lee McDonald who was the project structural engineer on the scheme which completed earlier this year.
Turner Street, Manchester – a beautiful, historic former mill in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. The four storey stylish conversion by Architects Stevenson Studio, is in a Grade II listed building, the artist is Andrea Manenti a senior engineer at Booth King who is currently working on this project alongside architects Stephenson Studio.
The award winning and RIBA house of the year finalist Cefn Castle located on at Criccieth, Wales. This project was featured on Channel 4’s Grand Designs. It is a residential property occupying a remote coastal site overlooking Cardigan Bay. It replaced the remains of a cottage with a state of the art contemporary house, designed by Stephenson Studio. The artist was Gillian Hardman, financial administrator at Booth King.
Continued Mark: “Our ethos at Booth King is to work on projects that delight and excite our team and the enthusiasm shown in producing these fantastic pieces of artwork is a great demonstration of this.
To complete the set I have sketched Stubbs Mill in Manchester which is being repaired and converted into retail and commercial space for developer Urban Splash. The architect for the project is Sixtwo.”
