Booth King Attends Launch of New Canopy Roof For East Lancashire Railway
Our team were delighted to attend the launch of the canopy roof that was erected on Platform Two at Bury Bolton Street Station for the East Lancashire Railway (ELR).
Helen Quinton, Callum Sidley and Mark Moppett from our Ramsbottom office attended the event. They were the team that provided structural engineering advice and design to allow the relocation, reconfiguring and restoration of a dilapidated Victorian station canopy roof.
After the launch our engineers were able to ride on the footplate of a steam locomotive and visit ELR’s specialist restoration works to see the Flying Scotsman which is currently undergoing renovation.
