Booth King Helps The Next Generation Of Engineers
Booth King is continuing its very popular work experience placement with two students taking part in the programme this week.
Mathew – a student at Bury Grammar School for Boys is 15 years old and is preparing for his GCSEs next year, he has a particular interest in a career in structural engineering and has been shadowing the directors as they attend site visits and meetings, organising, filing and has been getting the feel for a busy engineering office.
We also welcome a student from Hodgson Academy Poulton-le-Fylde near Blackpool. Samuel is in year 10 at the school and was recommended to the programme at Booth King from a former work experience student. He is very keen on a career in either structural engineering or architecture and to that end is spending a week job shadowing at an architect’s office in the coming months.
Managing director Mark Moppett commented: “We are thrilled to be mentoring more enthusiastic school students, helping them with their future career choices. Booth King is passionate about engineering and bringing young people into the industry. We continue to develop our work experience and apprentice programs and look forward to seeing these students develop their careers.”
