Cycling Success at Rawsons Rake Climb 2018

Last weekend Jude Taylor, one of our engineers, was one of 101 competitors to take part in the testing Rawsons Rake Climb which took place in Ramsbottom on Sunday.

Though only 947 yards the cyclists face a grueling 25% gradient in the climb which starts at Ramsbottom Library and finishes at the Shoulder of Mutton, a climb placed in the top 100 hardest in the country.

The reputation of the event is obviously growing as it wasn’t just local entrants this year but also competitors from Whitby, Wales and Sheffield.

Jude completed the climb in the highly impressive time of 2 minutes and 29.1 seconds, missing second place by a whisker to secure third.

Well Done Jude!
