Highfield Humanities College was part of the Blackpool BSF programme. This project required the complete re-build of the old college.

The new building and facilities provide state-of-the-art learning environments on a four hectare site including a new school for 1200 pupils and associated 6th form college, new sports pitches and tennis courts.

The primary structural frame created by Booth King is an in-situ concrete flat slab utilising Post-Tensioned technology in order to achieve maximum operational flexibility and long-term adaptability.
