In 2021, in partnership with Up North Architects, we designed the complete rebuild of the front section of this property to create a two-storey external seating area overlooking the high street.

The main challenge was to structurally develop a cantilever first floor seating area while maintaining the ground floor open space at pavement level. This was achieved by a single piece steel frame fully welded, delivered on site (overnight) and installed over a solid concrete foundation base.

Such a complicated but successful solution has satisfied the client and lead to the next wonderful project of Cheshire Smokehouse.
