Project details

Sector Residential

Location Bowden

Booth King Partnership Limited have been appointed as the Civil and Structural Engineers for the design of Woodside, a bespoke, stone-clad multi-million-pound residence in Altrincham, Bowdon.

The primary building is double-storeyed – ground and first – and is comprised of main and guest dwelling wings linked together via an atrium enclosed walkway. A secondary garage building also falls under the scope of this build: it is comprised of a standard above-ground construction for everyday use, but a large portion of this structure is underground vehicle storage, with a car-lift used to move vehicles between.

The majority of the building frame – mainly ground floor – is of monolithic concrete construction, the roof itself and its supporting structure form a steel frame, anchored back into these walls.
The most obvious distinguishing feature of the build are the continuous cantilevering balconies wrapping around first floor. These are formed as part of the monolithic concrete and clad in high-spec stone to match the finishes.
